Biography of Salvatore A. Bramante

Salvatore A. Bramante was born in Hartford and educated in its Catholic schools.  He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics.  Sal served as president of the South/Southwest Elderly Housing Corporation, which was instrumental in the development of 36 units of elderly housing in South Hartford called the Mary J. Caruso Gables, at 65 Eaton Street. 

In 1990, he was appointed by Governor William O’Neil to serve as a Commissioner to the Metropolitan District commission. 

Sal has served the Office of the Registrars of Voters for many years starting in February 1994 when he was appointed Republican Deputy Registrar of Voters.  In January 2008, he had the privilege of serving as the Republican Registrar of Voters and was elected to that position in the November 2008 election.
